What are the most common souveniers that you see the kids walking around with? Maybe I can purchase them from my hometown disney store.

Hi Ann Marie.  Two things came to mind when I read your question.  #1: Pins on lanyards.  #2: Various glowing novelties that are typically sold during nighttime parades and shows.

Pin-trading is very common at WDW; just about everywhere you go you'll see a Cast Member kneeling down to allow a child to search his or her pin collection for just the right one to trade.  My kids are avid pin-traders and absolutely love swapping with Cast Members.  I think pins make a great souvenier because unlike the stuffed toys that end up at the bottom of the toybox, the pins my kids collect are well-cared for once we arrive home.  They frequently pull out their pin collections just to look at them and bring some of Disney vacation memories to life again.  I've not seen pins being sold in my local Disney store but I do know that they are available for purchase on e-bay.

As for the glow toys, just about every kid lined up along the SpectroMagic parade route seems to have a neon bright spinning globe or a flashlight-esque sword that extends with a flick of a wrist.  If your kids are anything like mine, they'll likely be begging for one as the vendor pushes past with his brightly lit cart full of goodies.  In my experience, these types of toys are fairly abundant at the Disney stores in the mall.

Another souvenier that come to mind is the Mickey ears hat, especially the pirate and pirate princess one.  Goofy hats with the drooping ears seem to be popular too, as does the big white Mickey glove.  I'm not sure if these items are sold in local stores or not.  Hope that helps!
