Are the commissary type food stations open at Magic Kingdom? Is there seating in the eating area?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Charles! Welcome to planDisney!

You're just days away from starting your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It sounds like you're dreaming of all the tempting treats and magical meals you'll be enjoying while you're there. And why not? At Walt Disney World, food is definitely part of the fun!

Charles, since the Walt Disney World Resort is still in its phased reopening process, there are some venues that haven't opened back up yet. There's a quick way to find out which restaurants are serving up goodies right now and which are still awaiting their grand reopening. Just go to the Dining page on the Walt Disney World website for a complete list of restaurants. If you look under the header, you'll see some drop-down menus where you can filter your results. You should see "All Parks & Resorts" right next to a Mickey ears icon. Click on the arrow in that box to bring up a checklist of locations. Check the box next to "Magic Kingdom Park," and that will show you all dining locations in that Park. As you scroll through the list, you'll see that some are marked "Temporarily Unavailable." You'll find that most spots are open, with the notable exceptions of Casey's Corner and Columbia Harbour House. I'm hoping those will be back soon, because they're definitely big favorites!

And no worries, because there's plenty of seating at Walt Disney World's quick service restaurants. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need to use the Mobile Ordering service in your My Disney Experience app when you're grabbing a bite at these locations. Just place your order and pay right in the app. You'll get an alert when your food is ready, and then your party can head inside, pick up your order, and sit down to nosh. Before you know it, you'll be fueled up and ready to get back to the fun!

Charles, while you're here, be sure to check out planDisney's Panel Extras. Our "What Would I Order?" section lists some of our must-do meals at Walt Disney World. You might just find something new to try!

I hope this helps you plan a tasty tour of the Walt Disney World Resort, Charles. Stop on by again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
