    We are coming with our 5yro on Sept 1-4th. 1st time for us. She LOVES Pluto&Pooh. We have reserved character meals for both on diff days. How much time will it take to get from AKingdom to Chef Mickeys? Will it b a time sink?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question concerning your Walt Disney World vacation!  AND...this vacation is going to be "tigger-ific" because you have a first-time guest coming with you!  WOO HOO!

    My recommendation would be to give yourself at least 45 minutes to travel from Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your reservation at Chef Mickey's.  Buses typically will run every 15-20 minutes from each bus stop.  (However, sometimes it could take longer.)  Then, the actual bus ride will take approximately 10 to 12 minutes. I always like to have a time buffer to ensure my family will arrive to a Disney Dining restaurant on time and ready to go!
