Hello Matthias! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
A Walt Disney World Resort vacation? What a magical way to celebrate a 3rd birthday!
Before my son's 3rd birthday, our family took one last trip to take advantage of his complimentary admission to the parks. During that trip, we traveled with a family whose daughter turned 4 and celebrated her birthday by dining at Chef Mickey's.
The next day we visited Disney's Hollywood Studios. We are all huge Star Wars fans and had the kids excited about the experiences available at a galaxy not very far away from our resort. The activity that had the kids the most excited was
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, where younglings train in the ways of the force during an on stage performance. To participate, children need to be between the ages of 4-12. My friend brought his daughter's identification, but none of the Cast Members requested it and she was able to put her skills to the test against the dark side that day!
As far as your 3-year old is concerned, the age restrictions for activities, tours or services like
Bibbiddi Bobbidi Boutique,
The Pirates League or
Children's Activity Centers are based on the date of the activity.
Think of it as height requirements for certain rides: if you're tall enough, you can ride!
So go ahead and book those magical experiences! If your require further confirmation, inquire with the Cast Member when you book your reservations.
I hope you have a magical birthday celebration!
