Hi we have been coming for many years now. We have stayed on Disney Property, can u tell me please are we allowed to go into the complex to look around, to maybe one day book a hotel on site? If we don't look we will never know. kind regards

    Hi Debra,

I remember back in the late 1980s when there was talk about building Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I was a Walt Disney World fanatic way back then as well, so I anxiously awaited its opening.

After seeing all of the pictures, and even the music video for The Beach Boys song Kokomo (which was filmed on the beach at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa), none of them adequately prepared me for how magnificent the resort was when I first saw it with my own eyes. It was absolutely breathtaking.

So, if you comb through photos on the internet or in books, you will never really get a full appreciation for the experience of actually setting foot in one of Disney's resort hotels.

To answer your question...you are most certainly welcome to visit any of the resort hotels and browse the grounds as much as you'd like. The only thing that I don't think you'll be able to do is actually tour one of the hotel rooms. Being that I've stayed in a bunch of different Disney resort hotels, I can tell you with absolute certainty that they all are wonderful!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

When you visit the various resort hotels, don't forget to stop by the gift shops as well because they tend to carry certain merchandise that's exclusive to those properties. (I'm a shopaholic when I'm at Walt Disney World!)

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
