coming in 8/2012. have 2-12 year old girls and 2-9 year olds boys coming along. conisdering pirates league on our last day at magic kingdom. wondering if it is worth the money and the time to experience?

    Hi there, Kristin!

The Pirates League is undoubtedly a vary cool experience for pirate fans and landlubbers alike! Obviously, the emphasis is on the makeup and costuming (which is optional), with loads of attention paid to making sure the Guests are completely immersed in the pirate world. Pirate fans absolutely adore the fun, and the League has been known to sway some doubters into their crew.

Your children will hear pirate stories and jokes as they are made up, will receive a pirate treasure, and a special pirate name in a ceremony that concludes the fun.

Please bear in mind that August in Florida is hot and humid; you will certainly want to consider the makeup choices carefully, as full-face options might be somewhat tricky in the heat. There are several choices that add great dramatic effects (scars, "tattoos," etc.) without covering the full face.

The League is very popular with Guests of all ages -- not just children! -- so there doesn't seem to be an age ceiling to the fun.

While I can't speak for your children, of course, I would certainly suggest explaining the concept of the League to them and gauge their interest level. But I will offer that ff your children are game to walking around with the makeup on of the duration of the day, and especially if they enjoy the fantasy of acting, they are sure to have a good time.

When you are ready to make your plans, give a call to (407) WDW-CREW to secure your spot!

    See you alter, celebrator,
