Coming at Xmas for son's bd. Local family won't have tix to parks, so wanted party at Downtown Disney (RF Cafe).Told that reservation for 14 needs to go through group sales (which doesn't book during that busy week). Please help. Rather not split up party.

    Hi Jerry!

We run in to this problem ourselves many times.  If you absolutely want to have the members close together (but maybe still at separate tables) then you have to go through group sales or contact the restaurant directly.  However, if you are willing to risk not being seated close together then you could just get two normal Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) that you can make for yourself.  Just make one of them and have somebody else in the party make the other.  Then when you check-in at the restaurant, ask nicely if you can all be seated close together.  That's usually worked for us; however, just keep in mind, that it may not, so if it is really important to you then definitely call the restaurant directly!

Good luck, and please write back with more questions!
