Coming to World in July with DH, DDs 17 & 5, DSs 14 & 6. Do not have tix for 1st day so looking for suggested activities (already planning Downtown). What are your favorite WDW hotels to tour (have toured all on lagoon) & what is your favorite

There are a lot of ways to enjoy your first Disney day outside of the parks, Jill.  Since you're already planning for Downtown Disney, perhaps you would like to spend your first day playing miniature golf at one of Disney's courses?  You could also take in a movie (though the theater is located at Downtown Disney).  A water park might be another option, as would lounging by your resort pool.  If you're looking to tour a resort, I think you'd get the most mileage by visiting the Epcot area resorts.  Doing so would allow you to visit Disney's Boardwalk Inn as well as both the Beach and Yacht Clubs without ever having to get in a car or bus.  While you're at the Beach Club, you might opt to stop in at Beaches & Cream for their infamous kitchen sink ice cream sundae; it's an excellent start to any trip!  Enjoy!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
