Coming in 2 wks, staying at POR and purchased the dining plan. ? is, can I use my Visa reward dollars to pay for the tip at table service restaurants or do I need to pay for that with cash? First time on the dining plan and not sure how to pay for tip.

    Hi Sandra!

You have made a great choice by adding the Dining Plan!

You have a couple of options when it comes to tipping. Gratuities can be paid by using cash, credit card, or your “Key to the World” card, (also known as your room key).  You can also use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card, since it is accepted at any Walt Disney World Resort Dining location that accepts credit cards.

Since this is the first time you will be using the Disney Dining Plan, I wanted to also offer some additional information. Your Disney Dining Plan credits will be on your Key to the World card and you only need to present one of your party's cards to your server. Once you have finished your meal, your server will bring you your receipt. The receipt will show your meal and how much it would have cost if you were paying out of pocket. The receipt will also show a suggested tip towards the bottom. If you want to make it easier on yourself, you can use your Key to the World card to pay for the tips (since you are already using that card to redeem your Disney Dining Plan credits) and then use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay the balance of any charges incurred on your room charge upon check out.

I am sure you will have a wonderful time!
