    We are coming for a 2 wk vacation in Dec with our 2 yr old and intend to visit all the parks. I understand that buying an umbrella stroller is cheaper than renting one. Is this still possible as we are not staying onsite, we are renting a house locally?

    Buying a stroller is definitely much cheaper than renting one every day at the parks.  I was at the parks and resorts a few weeks ago and actually did a little stroller research.  I was at The Swan Resort and there is a cute store in there named Daisy's Garden.  They sell a great umbrella stroller (black & red)for $53.20 (including tax) that would be perfect for your child. I saw the same one at Epcot and at Downtown Disney at Once Upon a Story and The World of Disney Store.  If you can stop at Downtown Disney to get the stroller before you go to your first park, or maybe make Epcot your first park, it will save you a ton of money on stroller rentals.
