We are coming for Make a Wish, and we have some older ones as well as one 3 year old.. How should we plan out going on rides? The 3 year old has heart disease.. By the way, my second question! I love the answers, so I am back! :)

    Hi Madi,

You are so sweet to return with more questions and we are absolutely thrilled to help your family as you look forward to your Make A Wish trip.

If there is more than one adult in your traveling party (or older teens), assign a member of the family to be responsible for the older kids. While the majority of your touring can be done together, there will be times when the thrill-seekers will want to tackle a ride such as Space Mountain while the rest of the party enjoys a nearby attraction. In this instance, I would suggest going to Carousel of Progress to see the show or take your little one to visit a nearby character for pictures and hugs! Then you can all meet up to go on a tamer ride together.

You'll want to consult with your physician (which I'm sure you already have planned) as to what physical limitations your three-year old should adhere to. Pay attention to warning signs at each attraction that will indicate where riding with a physical ailment is not advisable. In addition, I would read up on the rides, shows, etc. so that you can also judge as the parent which attractions are best for your three year old as well as what your family can enjoy together.

The best part of WDW is that there truly is something for everyone. And the family can enjoy things separately and then rejoin each other to experience wonderful moments together too.

Near each thrill ride, look for a show, character greeting, or tamer ride so that the three-year old won't be missing a thing while the others are having fun too. Parades are also great distractions!

    Wishing you dreams come true!
