We are coming in 4 weeks and I thought I had heard somewhere there is a place to learn about Walt Disney. My son is doing a 5th grade historical person report on Walt and we want to get some extra special info if we can.

    Welcome, Meta!

Although Walt Disney was never able to enjoy his Florida Project in its entirety, his legacy is alive throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. Your son won't want to miss visiting Walt Disney: One Man's Dream in Disney's Hollywood Studios. This is a self-guided tour through Walt's life showcasing rare artifacts and anecdotal stories. I can spend hours in this gallery mulling over the numerous storyboards, models, and photographs, not to mention video and audio clips of Walt Disney reflecting on his accomplishments. I'm sure your son will learn many interesting facts about our favorite dreamer.

If your son is old enough, I also suggest the Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour. This three-hour guided walking tour offers Guests 12 years of age and up, a unique look at how key life events impacted the park and attractions at Magic Kingdom. Reservations for this tour can be made by calling (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm sending pixie-dusted wishes for a magical vacation and that your son is inspired to make his dreams come true just the way Walt Disney did.

    Have a magical day!
