We're coming the week before Xmas and flying home Xmas Eve. I've heard it's a wonderful time of year to be at WDW! I was told lines are shorter, lots less people there!! Any truth to that..if so, I'm trying to figure out if that changes things at all!!

    Hi Karen!

Generally speaking, that's true.  Based on the past, the crowds are expected to be low at Walt Disney World until Monday, the 19th.  Then the crowds are expected to be moderate until about Thursday, the 22nd of December.  After that, Walt Disney World is expected to be extremely crowded through the 2nd of January.

Early December is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World.  The weather is very nice (but it can get cold), the parks and hotels are beautifully decorated, and there are special events such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  It's my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World!
