    We are coming the week after Thanksgiving and were wondering if a early moning fishing excursion would be fun for the kids and grandparents. How is the fishing at WDW in November/December? Is it too cold? Which lake would you suggest?

    Hi Gary!  I have enjoyed many fishing excursions at Disney!  I love to fish and find it so relaxing and have usually had pretty good luck!

    The weather at that time of year can be quite cool in the mornings and evenings so you should definitely go prepared with a warm sweatshirt of jacket. As the sun comes out the air warms up quickly. 

    I have enjoyed the best fishing on Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon waters and would recommend your excursion out of one of the resorts on those lakes. 

    Now for the fishing at that time of year......well, it usually isn't the best but with that said I have caught some very big bass nonetheless!  The best times are spring and early summer or at least for our family that has been the case.  But I think it is an awesome excursion for you and your grandchildren and highly recommend it.  You will have a wonderful guide who will take care of all the bait and releasing the fish you catch. (Thinking positive for you) They have some great stories they can share and the time goes by so quickly.
