We're coming the week after Easter with our 3 adult children, 2 spouses & 9 grandchildren totalling 16 (3 under 2). 8 grandsons - oldest is 14. One 6 year old granddaughter. Everyone loves to swim. Any resort suggestions?

    Hi Deborah,

It sounds like you have a Splashtastic vacation coming up with your children and grandchildren at Walt Disney World! If swimming is a favored activity among your crew, I highly recommend that you consider a stay at Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Yacht Club Resort. These sister Resorts are located side-by-side and share access to Stormalong Bay, which in my view, is hands down the best Resort pool at Walt Disney World.

My own family has spent countless hours swimming together in the sandy-bottom pool at Stormalong Bay, playing in the sandy play areas, and floating in our tubes down the lazy river. I have also enjoyed soaking up the rays on the elevated pool deck while my kids competed to see how many times they could conquer the Shipwreck waterslide. In short, my family lives by the philosophy that you can never have enough Stormalong Bay!

In the Value Resort category, my vote goes to Disney's Art of Animation Resort, which plays host to The Big Blue Pool. This zero-entry pool, which was inspired by the movie Finding Nemo, even boasts its own underwater speakers!

For even more aquatic fun, be sure to take a trip to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, each of which are capable of providing a full day of water fun for the whole family!

Wishing you a trip of a lifetime creating wonderful family memories with your children and grandchildren, Deborah! And "Just Keep Swimming!"
