Hiya Kimberly!
Welcome to planDisney! Oh, Christmastime in Walt Disney World is so lovely. The seasonal decorations, characters in themed outfits, and special treats make it a great time to visit.
My family joined with my brother and his family this past December to visit the week after Christmas and had an amazing time! Something that my kids love about traveling with their cousins is living with them. I consider the best value when split between family members is a stay together at any of the Family Suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These rooms can fit 6 adults with a configuration of 1 Queen Bed, 1 Double-Size Sleeper Sofa, and 1 Double-Size Murphy Bed that doubles as a dining table. The suite also has two full bathrooms and a kitchenette. Since you will need two family suites for your party of 12 I would request to have rooms near or next to each other. After making your reservations I would
call "Disney Resort Hotel Reservations" and see if they can make a note in your file. It is not guaranteed as rooms are usually not assigned till you check in/arrive but Cast Members usually try their best.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is considered a
Value Resort but as it is one of the newest there are so many advantages to staying here. The rooms are beautifully themed in buildings with elevators. I love
Landscape of Flavors, which is the food court located at the main building you first arrive at. The variety of food options all in one space will please everyone. My husband likes burgers, my son pizza, and my daughter just wants milk and cereal for dinner. All their wishes can be fulfilled all at once! It would also be remiss of me to not mention that one of the best features of this Resort other than
The Big Blue Pool is its access to the
Disney Skyliner. I love that you can push your stroller right inside without having to fold it up. The Disney Skyliner is going to be your best option for getting to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. With a large group to wrangle, having multiple and easy transportation options is always ideal.
Prices are subject to change and can differ based on what dates you choose and how many days you are staying. Usually, the more days you purchase tickets for the cheaper each day becomes. Right now if I were to pretend to join you on this adventure I am finding that a 5-day Park Ticket starting from December 26, 2024, where I only do one park per day will cost me $760.29. If I'm traveling with a lot of family I would suggest one person purchase
Memory Maker as well.
Make sure to link your entire family together on your
Family & Friends list so that you can share photos, reserve dining, and book Lightning Lanes together. This is a must-do to make planning your large group's activities easier. I also want to let you know that sometimes
special offers can become available as your trip date approaches. To be honest, your arrival time is usually blocked out from all of those deals as it is traditionally a very busy time. Don't fret, you will still have a great time!
If you have any more questions I would love to help!
Happy Planning!
