We are coming to WDW this weekend for the 1st time and plan to spend 4-5 days at the parks. We have 2 girls-13 & 8. I need tips on wether or not to purchase the hopper option, best way to save on dining, and must sees for the girls. Thanks!

    Hi Casie!

Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World!  I bet your girls are so excited with your trip being just a few days away.

I asked my own two girls what are some of their must-see's at Walt Disney World and the following topped their lists:

    • Magic Kingdom - Enchanted Tales with Belle, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey's Philharmagic, and Wishes
    • Epcot - Soarin', Club Cool, Mission: Space, Turtle Talk with Crush!, Agent P's World Showcase Adventure, and IllumiNations
    • Animal Kingdom - Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, Kali River Rapids, Maharajah Jungle Trek, DINOSAUR, It's Tough to be a Bug!, and Finding Nemo - The Musical
    • Hollywood Studios - Toy Story Midway Mania!, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, Muppet*Vision 3D, and Fantasmic!

Due to the length of your trip I would not personally purchase the Park Hopper option at first.  There is so much to see and do at each park that you likely won't feel the need to park hop in the same day.  But if you change your mind, no worries, simply go to any of the Ticket windows at the theme parks to upgrade your tickets.

And finally, how to save on dining.  One way is to eat an easy breakfast, like cereal and granola bars, in our hotel room prior to going to the parks.  We also pack frozen juice pouches and prepackaged snacks in our backpack to enjoy throughout the day.  And don't underestimate the power of sharing a funnel cake to refresh your energy stores!

Thank you so much for your question and may your vacation be magical in every way!

    Blessings,
    Brenda
