We are coming to WDW for the 3rd time, Oct. 6-12. Staying at AKL. We will definitely go to MNSSHP. Any other Halloween-y things to look for? Came at Xmas time and loved it! Thanks!

    Hi Natalie!

You will absolutely love traveling during this time of the year. Although Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will be the highlight of your Halloween festivities, typically Disney Resort Hotels will offer Halloween themed activities for children, too. I happen to know The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort gets into the SPOOKtacular spirit with campsite decorations every year. Check out the unofficial Disney fan site allears.net and search Halloween Howls at Fort Wilderness. Although the Haunted Carriage Rides have been discontinued, the many other fun displays would be worth checking out!

Upon check-in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, be sure to inquire about special activities held during your stay.

My final planning tip, Natalie, is to view the Mickey's "Boo to You" Halloween Parade from Frontierland or Liberty Square. You'll likely catch a great glimpse of the Headless Horseman who heads the parade minutes before the start, weather permitting! It's also wise to purchase your Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets ahead of time, when dates are released.

Have a grim-grinning time, Natalie, and try to avoid bringing the Hitchhiking Ghosts home with you!
