Hi. We are coming to WDW 09/2015,staying at PORS.I'm curious if anyone can participate at the AKL animal spotting activity and the times it starts? My son would love it. We were thinking dinner after. What restaurant provides the best savannah view?? THX!!

    Hello Nicholas,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels! My kids love Ol’ Man Island pool and in my opinion, Riverside Mill Food Court is one of the best Quick Service Dining Restaurants on Walt Disney World Resort property. If you get the chance you should rent a Surrey Bike and cruise around the Resort; it's so much fun!

You are more than welcome to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and explore the property. There are designated animal viewing areas throughout the Resort that are open to the public. However, any activities that are run for recreation by the Resort, such as the animal spotting activity, are only available to registered Guests of the Resort. My suggestion for the best Restaurant in which to view the animals on the savanna would be Sanaa, located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. You can step outside at any time and take in the gorgeous view of the savanna where you can see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of other animals.

I hope this information helps! Please feel free to stop back by should you have any more vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
    Susan
