Coming to WDW 11/8/13. Staying at POR. I know this is a marathon weekend, where should we avoid and when? Will the resort be extra crowded? How to best plan for this as we want to avoid rather than participate. Thank you!

    Hi Linda!

November is a great month to be at Walt Disney World.  The Christmas decorations are going up, and the weather is generally very nice.

November 7-9 is the Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend.  The half marathon race takes place on Saturday night.  You really won't notice a big difference in crowd levels.  This isn't a really big race.  My suggestion would be to avoid Epcot on that Friday and Saturday.  Most of the runners will be there participating in the last two days of the International Food and Wine Festival.

A great resource for crowd level predictions and information on which parks are best to visit on certain days, check out www.touringplans.com.  I love this website as a planning tool!
