Hey, howdy, hey, Kathleen and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort just after the kids go back to school. Walking through Magic Kingdom Park decorated with fall colors, scarecrows and believe it not, 176 pumpkins on the window ledges and balconies lining Main Street, U.S.A., makes me smile like Cheshire Cat.
Extra Magic Hours are a special benefit for all
Disney Resort Hotel Packages and some select hotels. Each day one or two theme parks is open a little early or closes a little later as a "thank you" for staying on Disney property. We enjoy this time when the crowds are thin as the Day Guests are not admitted on the attractions. Extra Magic Hours are usually posted six months in advance. I know this creates a challenge when trying to coordinate
dining reservations so keep checking the
Monthly Calendar to see if Disney has added new dates. If you are looking at securing a special place to eat then I suggest making your dining reservations now then modify after the Extra Magic Hours are released.
Disney Dad Tip: September brings a spook-tacular and spell-tastic aura to Magic Kingdom Park. Join Mickey and gang as they laugh and haunt during
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Be sure to watch Happy HalloWishes sorcery in the sky fireworks and, before the parade, the Headless Horseman makes his infamous ride looking for Ichabod Crane.
Kathleen, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
