We are coming to WDW, but staying off site. Can we still make reservations at a resort for a character dinner/breakfast if we are not staying at that resort? Do you recommend any special one, we have 3 kids 9, 7 & 3. Thank you!

    Hello Melissa!

You can absolutely make reservations at any of the resort restaurants regardless of where you are staying. One of my favorite things to do is make ADRs at various resorts during our vacations so we can look around and get ideas on where we'd like to stay next.

I think that a great character meal for kids and adults is Chef Mickey's. We always try to get an ADR for dinner here on the first night of our trip. It's a great way to start things off and since the Contemporary is located on the monorail you can take a ride after dinner and check out the other monorail resorts or visit the Magic Kingdom. The characters here are dressed in their chef clothes and it's a wonderful opportunity to meet some of the favorites like Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Mickey of course.

Another great option for a character breakfast is the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. The characters here are dressed in their beach gear and I have personally always enjoyed the food selection and character interaction. This is a great choice for a day that you plan to visit Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Epcot's International Gateway is a five minute walk from the Beach Club, and Hollywood Studios is also within walking distance or you can take a boat to get there after your meal.

I hope this helps!! have a wonderful vacation!
