Aloha, Jennifer!
Welcome back to planDisney. We're so glad you've stopped by with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! You'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a couple of weeks. The countdown is on! Jennifer, I'm happy to help you to stay active during your stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
As a fellow runner (and major
runDisney enthusiast), I understand your desire to maintain your running routine - even during vacations! The walking path between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite place to run on Walt Disney World Resort property, and I'm thrilled to inform you that it's now open to Guests! The walking path between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reopened in late March 2023 and no longer requires Guests to cross Floridian Way when traveling between the resorts. During your stay, you'll be able to traverse the ~1.5-mile path between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park. While running, you'll be able to enjoy the views of Seven Seas Lagoon, the sound of the ferry boats passing, and Guests waving from the
monorail!
Jennifer, I recommend completing your runs first thing in the morning if possible. Running at the Walt Disney World Resort at dawn is so peaceful and simply magical. Plus, you'll beat the heat and be ready for a delicious breakfast upon your return to your Resort hotel. You can top off your workout with an order of warm Tonga Toast from
Kona Café, or even enjoy a breakfast feast with character at
'Ohana!
I hope you find this information helpful, Jennifer. I'm wishing you many magical workouts and an unforgettable trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any additional questions before or during your visit, feel free to stop back by
planDisney again anytime. We're here to help you make the most of your Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
Every mile is magic,
Lauren
