Hi! Coming to WDW in September (yeah!) and wondering what is the difference in Future World and World Showcase at Epcot? I have a 2 year old and a 1 year old to keep entertained... Thanks for the panel and all the help!

Future World is more about the latest innoventions, thriller attractions such as Test Track and hands on activities such as those found at Image Works.

Your little ones would most likely enjoy The Seas with Nemo and Friends where they can take a calm ride in a clam, then explore the aquarium. There are KidCot stations throughout Epcot's Future World that allow kids to create a "lanyard" and color new "charms" to add to the lanyard.

Make use of the Child Care Center that is located just before you enter World Showcase in to Mexico. This is a nice spot to relax with little ones in air-conditioning.

World Showcase offers many shopping and dining opportunities. Each is geared toward the country that you are visiting. There are only two rides: one in Mexico and the other in Norway. In Mexico, you enter an indoor courtyard with night time simulated lighting. It's beautiful. Try on a sombrero. The KidCot stations in World Showcase allow children to color a mask and then add charms to it as you tour the "world". As kids get older, they also appreciate talking to the Cast Members from the different countries and learning how to say their own name in different languages. World Showcase also offers lots of characters to find such as Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom!

With that being said, we didn't spend a lot of time at Epcot when our son was two as it is such a big park. It's really two parks in one in terms of size and things to do.

Since my son was 5 or 6 though he has always asked to return to Epcot. He not only loves the thrill rides but enjoys Innoventions, KidCot and going on a "character adventure" around World Showcase. There are many characters such as Belle and the Beast to meet!
