We are coming to WDW on september 10th for 7 days. We are AP holders. We are bringing a friend who has a 5 day pass. Can we add 2 more days to that ticket?

Hi, Thomas!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this great question!

No matter how long my Walt Disney World Resort vacation is, I always find myself wishing that I had more time to spend at my home away from home.  I simply cannot get enough of that Disney magic!  With all there is to see and do at Walt Disney World Resort, I love that my Annual Pass gives me an entire yEAR of access to the theme parks!  I can certainly understand why your friend would like to add some extra pixie dust to their ticket, and I would be happy to help you with that.

In the past, Guests have been able to upgrade their tickets or add extra days to an existing ticket.  To add days to a ticket, the ticket could not be part of a special offer such as the 4-Park Magic Ticket.  Also, the upgrade needed to be made within 14 days of the ticket's first use, and the ticket needed to have a least one valid day of admission remaining.  Guests looking to upgrade their theme park tickets could call the Help Center phone number for existing tickets, or they could upgrade their tickets in person at any ticket window or Guest Relations location.

While this was the process for upgrading theme park tickets in the past, things look a little different right now in light of the current park closures.  Walt Disney World Resort recently announced its plan for reopening.  Currently, all ticket sales are temporarily paused so that the magic makers at Walt Disney World Resort may assist Guests with existing resort hotel reservations and theme park tickets.  Be sure to have your friend link their theme park tickets to their My Disney Experience account.  Once that is taken care of, they can expect that Disney will be reaching out to them soon to help them with their upcoming vacation plans.  At that time, they can inquire about the possibility of adding extra days to their existing ticket.

In the meantime, as you get ready for your trip, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the resort operations page on the Walt Disney World website for all of the latest news regarding the reopening procedures.  If you have any additional questions, please visit us again.

    See ya real soon!
