Hi. Coming to WDW in Sept. with out dance company and stupidly I waited late to add the meal plan. I am having difficulty booking character meals. Any suggestions to finding out what becomes available asap without having to call or check so frequently

    Hi there, Kelly!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question and please don't be so hard on yourself. You're going to have such a great time visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with your dance company!

September is a busy time this year, especially with the Free Dining promotion that's going on during that time. Even though you added the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation later than you would've liked to, you may still be able to get into some great restaurants. While there is not a way to find out about cancellations and availability without having to call in or check online, Guests change their plans around all the time so there is always a chance that something could open up.

If you haven't already done so, please download the My Disney Experience application to your smartphone so you can log in and check availability at some of your favorite restaurants while you are on-the-go. This app will enable you to find out which restaurants have availability and it's very user friendly.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that some Pixie Dust flies your way and that you're able to reserve what you're looking for! Please don't hesitate to write back in if we can help with any other questions you have.

Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
