We are coming to WDW 9/5 - 9/12. We are planning on the Mickey's not so Scary Halloween party on 9/9 and I see it is going to be raining that day. Will they still have the event? I have seen that most things stay open but wasn't sure about special event

We were at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party the evening the Hurricane Wilma came inland, and we just put on our rain ponchos over our Halloween shirts (we had thankfully skipped costumes that year) and kept on going.  Nearly every ride stayed open, but some of the little events that are scattered about like magicians weren't available as well as some characters.  Anything that was in a sheltered area did continue. Like true Disney magic, the rain actually let up so the parade could go on!  We had feared the lightning would have cancelled it.

One thing that did happen, however, was that our candy was soaked and ruined.  We hadn't even thought of rain getting into the treat bags.  it was pretty gross.

Have a great trip; it is nearly here!
