Hi. I am coming to WDW in Oct. for 2 weeks, and since both my boys will be celebrating their b-days (Oct. 3 and 15th) while we are there, I would like to purchase gift cards for them. I am in Canada. Can I purchase them or are they just avail. in the US?

    Lindsey:

Unfortunately, I just found out this week that Disney gift cards aren't available for purchase and delivery to Canada.

Have you thought about downloading a few Mickey photos and creating your own gift certificate? Or simply purchasing the cards once you get on property? You can even include a Character Fan Card (autographed by the boy's favorite Disney character) with your gift card and leave it for them to find upon waking on their birthday!

To get the Character card, you need to send a written request (each one done separately) sent certified mail to:

    Disney Land resort
    Guest Communications
    ATTN: Character Fan Mail
    P.O. Box 3232
    Anaheim, CA 92803

Let them know your occasion (in your case a birthday), your child's name and which Character you'd like a greeting from!  It'll take a bit more time than just ordering a gift card online, but will be so special.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
