    We are coming to WDW on 9/28 and all our meals are on the dining plan. Do the restaurants figure the price of the food so that the tips can be calculated? Also can tips be charged to our room ? The panel has been so helpful and educational--Thanks!

    Hi there Ricki,

    Your trip is literally RIGHT around the corner and in a few days, you'll be eligible for online check-in which is the tell tale sign that you're almost there!

    When using the Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World restaurants, you'll receive a regular "bill" at the end of your meal, just like you would at any restaurant.  The actual total of your meals will be shown in addition to the suggested tip amounts.  Just place your Key to the World Card (room key) into the bill folder and let the server know that you'll be using the Dining Plan to pay for the meals and would like to charge the gratuity to your room.  

    Please note, in order to be able to charge to your room, you''ll need to set this up at check-in by putting down a credit card!  I always do this and having the convenience of being able to use my Key to the World Card for everything is truly priceless!
