Coming to WDW May 30 2012- June 6. Our DVC home resort is BLT. Love the location and the views! Debating though if we should try Beach Club. Pros? Cons? Traveling with another family..4 adults, 2 13 year olds, 2 4year olds and our 2 year old. Love panel !

    Hi Jonnie,

Bay Lake Towers is a fabulous resort & the view is spectacular.  I love having easy access to the Magic Kingdom & to the monorail line.  My boys think of the monorail as an attraction more than a mode of transportation.  For years I had a hard time breaking away from the resorts along the monorail line but I've found that its fun to venture out and break free of my habits sometime.

I think you will love the Beach Club. It is a beautiful resort with lots of amenities.  One of our favorite things is the pool. Stormalong Bay is considered by many to be the best pool among the resorts which features waterfalls, a lazy circular river, a waterslide & an elevated tanning deck. The kids will love it. They are pretty strict about this pool so if you want to take advantage of it, everyone in your party will need their KTTW cards to enter.

It has easy access to Epcot through the International Gateway and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Its also near the Boardwalk and you could walk over or take a quick boat ride over. This is a fun place to walk around during the evening.

There are also some great dining options at Beach Club. Cape May Cafe offers a yummy breakfast buffet with characters - awesome for the little ones. Beaches & Cream Soda Shop offers burgers & sandwiches in a fun setting. Be sure to try the Kitchen Sink while you're there. If you want fine dining, try the Yachtsman Steakhouse which is next door at the Yacht Club.  Their steaks are awesome.

With little ones, easy access to Magic Kingdom is super nice especially if you need to take them back for rest but I really like the laid back atmosphere at Beach Club. If you truly can't decide between the two, perhaps you can split your time between the two resorts during your trip and have the best of both worlds.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
