I will coming to WDW from March 26-31. Traveling with a 2 yr old and a 17 yr old. Would you suggest taking the buses to the parks or driving and parking at the parks? Staying at All Star Movies.

    Hi Cynthia,
I have debated this question myself many times.  Generally, I lean towards taking the Disney buses.  Here are some thoughts about this:
Buses will usually save you time and walking

    - The parking lots of Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot are very big, and you could be walking a long way (or taking the parking tram) to your car after a day at the park.
    - The parking lots for the Magic Kingdom are not right in front or beside the park.  For this park, you will have to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and then take either the monorail or a ferry to the park entrance. The buses will definitely get you to the Magic Kingdom faster.
    - All the bus stops are located right near the park entrances and the buses generally come every twenty minutes.

At the All Star Movies resort, there is one bus stop at Cinema Hall.  To save some walking time when you get back to your resort, you could book a 'preferred room' which will be closer to the main building where the bus stop is.

The only time I would suggest driving to Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom or Epcot is if you plan to 'park hop' in the middle of the day, going from one of these theme parks to another.  Resort buses go from hotels to theme parks - not from one theme park to another.  So if you are park-hopping mid-day, you would have to take the resort bus to your hotel and then take another bus from your hotel to the next park.  Unless you are planning to stop anyway at your hotel for a swim or a nap or a meal, it can be time consuming to bus from one theme park to another.

Cynthia, I hope this helps.  Have a wonderful vacation together with your family!
