    We are coming to WDW in March and staying at POR(new princess rooms). How close are they to the main building, bus stop & pool?

    Hi there, William!

    The 512 new Royal Rooms are "scattered' throughout Port Orleans Riverside, and can be found in any of the Resort room categories: Standard, Garden (new for 2012), Water View (with a view of a water feature, be that pool, lake, or river), and Preferred.

    You'll probably want to request a Preferred Royal Room: These rooms offer close proximity to the restaurants, transportation and main building. Preferred room are located in Alligator Bayou lodges 14, 15, 18 and 27 only (there are no preferred rooms located in the mansion buildings).

    Presently. there is $25 per night surcharge for a Preferred Room.

    Make sure to mention to your reservationist Cast Member that you are interested in staying in that class of room so you can be accommodated accordingly.
