Hi! We are coming to wdw in march 2014. we will be starting the parks the day after we check in at the all-star movies resort. we want to go to boardwalk the day we get there. what is the best way to go as no buses go directly there.

    Hi Ellen!

Thanks for popping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!

I just LOVE spending time along Disney's BoardWalk.

From Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, your easiest and most enjoyable option to get to the BoardWalk area, would be to hop onto a Disney bus headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios Park. Upon arrival at Hollywood Studios, don't head for the park gates. Instead take the pathway down to the Friendship boat dock. Board the next Friendship that arrives - and you'll be on your way!

Although you can stay on the boat until the 3rd stop which will be the BoardWalk Resort, I'd recommend that you disembark at the first stop: The Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts. From here, it's an enjoyable walk over the waterway and onto the BoardWalk itself.

If you stay into the evening hours, be sure to stroll over to the Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts' beach area where you'll find a 'Movie Under the Stars' showing along with marshmallow roast. You'll also likely find 'buskers' performing along the BoardWalk - usually in front of Flying Fish Cafe or over towards Big River Grille & Brewing Works.

For an indulgence at any time of day or night, be sure to pop into the BoardWalk Bakery for a sweet treat. My top recommendations would be the Salted Caramel Ganache Tart or Peanut Butter, Banana and Candied Bacon Pie!

When you're ready to head back 'home' for the night, jump on a bus to Downtown Disney and transfer to your All-Star Movies bus - or pop back over to Hollywood Studios to pick up direct transportation there, if the park is still within an hour of closing.

I hope this information helps you plan a perfect day at Disney's BoardWalk Ellen!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
