Kyle from AR Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are coming to WDW in June and thinking about reserving a time to build a droid. I know the cost is $129.99 but I cannot find a list of pricing for any accessories that we may want to add to the droid. Is there a place I can find pricing? Thank you!

    Bright Suns, Kyle!

Welcome back to planDisney. I see you will soon be traveling to the planet Batuu, at the edge of the galaxy. This wondrous planet offers amazing experiences like piloting the Millennium Falcon, sipping blue milk, and shopping for items that you can only find in a galaxy far, far away. One of my favorite experiences is building your own custom droid at the Droid Depot. Let’s get to your question, and I can tell you more about it.

One of the coolest parts of building your own custom droid is the range of accessories you can add to either your R2 or BB series unit. Because items are frequently updated, there is no list of available inventory or pricing. I was just there last month, perusing what was available, and I saw they had personality chips, which allow your droid to interact with other droids and elements of Galaxy’s Edge. I also saw R-Series attachments aplenty, along with visual customization items such as colored panels, specialized carrying backpacks, and much more. There is no shortage of items you can add to your droid, which makes this experience so much fun to return to each visit.

One of the neatest features of owning your droid is that it uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with other astromech droid units and with certain other elements and objects on Batuu and at Disney Parks and Resorts. I found it a lot of fun just walking around the land with my droid to see the different ways it interacted with areas as well as other travelers' droids.

Kyle, I hope that you have a magical time building your very own astromech droid. Please hyperspace back by if you have any further questions, and my fellow Jedi panelist will be happy to assist you.

May the Force be with you,
    Robert
