Coming WDW in June, have DDP but want to pay for California Grill ADR at 7:50. Fireworks at 10pm. Can we order flatbread pizza and dessert or is this inappropriate for a signature resteraunt?

Hi Kimberly!  Many guests end up ordering just a minimum from the California Grill menu as they have eaten their way through the parks during the day and just aren't hungry for a big meal at dinner time. There is nothing that will prevent you from ordering what you only wish to eat from the menu.

Another thought that you might consider is to keep your Advanced Dining Reservation and when you get upstairs you can ask to be seated in the lounge. This is usually where guests wait until their table is ready.  You can then just say you prefer to have appetizers and desserts only and they will be glad to serve you there. That leaves your table for those who wish to have a full meal. But that isn't necessary if you prefer a table.  Take it and relax and enjoy!  If you finish early before the fireworks then I do suggest you give up your table and wait for the show which you will be allowed to view from the special outdoor viewing balcony. That is actually a better spot then sitting inside even if you have a window seat as you can hear the booms and bangs in full volume!

    Enjoy your California Grill experience!
