We are coming to WDW in July and my daughter who is 10 has severe ashtma as well as my 8 year old son this was the only time we can go so I was wondering if maybe they have shaded areas for them to stand in or naything to wait on the rides?

    Hi Jackie!

While it's true that Orlando can be very hot in July, you can stay surprisingly cool while you are at the Disney World parks.

Almost all of the attractions have, at the very least,  a shaded area for standing in line.  A lot of them even have indoor queues that are air-conditioned.  Other than when you are walking around the parks, you will be shaded or indoors.  Obviously, Disney knew that they were in a hot climate, and that children (and parents!) tend to get cranky and tired when they are overly heated.

There are also restaurants and shops scattered throughout the park that offer great places to sit and cool off as well.

I hope this helps you plan!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your magical vacation!
