Coming to wdw in January 2014 and secured a reservation for my son's 4th birthday at Chef Mickey for 10, my sister has recently been able to come too. Now I need a reservation for 12, but online it says no availability. I don't want to cancel. What to do?

    Hi Lyndsie!

Wow, it must be so exciting that your family Walt Disney World vacation is coming up so soon!  I would recommend that you keep your Chef Mickey's Advanced Dining Reservation because that is a hard one to get especially for a large group of people.  There are to things you can do to add people.  The first is that you can try for an Advanced Dining Reservation for just 2 people.  If you are able to secure one, then when you check into Chef Mickey's you can let the Cast Members know that these two Advanced Dining Reservations are in the same group and they typically will try to seat you all together or in the same general area.  Keep in mind that all of your group has to be there and check in together.  The second way is to keep the Advanced Dining Reservation for 10 people and then when you check in to Chef Mickey's ask if you can have 2 more people added.  If you ask nicely and are willing to wait a little more time for your table to become ready and available, typically requests will be accommodated.  I have added 1 or 2 people to my Advanced Dining Reservations many times without an issue.  Keep in mind that this method is not guaranteed, but it definitely worth it to ask.

I hope that your January 2014 Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
