Coming to WDW in Jan 2014, trying to decide if we are going to add an extra day of park tickets to visit AK on our relax day, do we have to add the extra tickets day by 45 days prior to check in to avoid a fee,or when do we need to add the extra day by? Tx

    Hi Jonathan!

Congratulations on your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World, not too much longer now and you will be surrounded by the magic!  This is a great question and you could actually choose to add extra days or options before you go or during your vacation.  In my personal opinion, I would consider waiting to add the extra day until you are actually on your vacation, especially if you are not 100% sure. Sometimes, it can be hard to predict months in advance if you will want one more park day or if you are really going to need what I call a "rest and reset day."  Adding extra days to your ticket once you arrive will not result in any kind of change fee and allows you a little more flexibility.

Guests can add extra days or options such as Park Hopper to their park tickets as long as any additions are done within the first 14 days of use and you still have days remaining on your ticket.  Just visit any Guest Service or ticket window located at any of the parks or Downtown Disney in order to add extra days or options.

I hope you have a magical visit, Jonathan and please, visit us again if you have any more questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Mandy
