Hi, Brandi! Thanks so much for letting me help you plan this special visit!
Five is such a fun age, and your daughter will be old enough to enjoy her experience - and bring those memories back with her. Make sure to stop at the entrance of any Park (or at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel) for her complimentary "First Visit" button!
January is usually a beautiful time of the year in central Florida. You can look forward to mild days, brisk nights, and sunny skies!
Your visit coincides with the 2011 Walt Disney World Marathon, so prepare for extra excitement in the air! Feel free to stop by Disney's Health and Fitness Expo, located in the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
But if movin' and shakin' is more your speed, check out "Move It Shake It Celebrate It," a fabulous interactive street party in the Magic Kingdom. This event, performed multiple times daily, features favorite Disney characters, great music, and a DJ who gets everyone on their feet! Unlike a traditional parade, Guests are encouraged to jump up and join in the fun.
For detailed parade times, please pick up a Park-specific Times Guide, found just at the entrance of each Park, and at locations throughout. These Guides are published weekly, offer the most current information, and are incredibly useful in helping you schedule your day around your "must-see" shows and parades.
Please let me know if I can be of any further help to you! Have a fantastic time!
See You Real Soon,
-Deborah B.
