    We are coming to WDW for the first time 4/28-5/4 and staying at the port orleans riverside. We have 3 boys and wanted to do something special for our first trip Any suggestions, the boys are 5, 6, and 7 years old at time of trip

    Hi, Kevin!

    I think with 3 young boys, you have chosen a wonderful resort with Port Orleans Riverside!  Just at your resort you will find so many fun things that will make your vacation so special:

    -Catch and Release Fishing at Ol' Man Island.  You can rent old fashioned cane poles and see what you can catch!

    -Enjoy the entertainment of YeeHa Bob in the River Roost Lounge.  Ask at the front desk for his schedule.  Such great fun for the entire family!

    -Take a boat ride from your resort along the Sassagoula River to Downtown Disney where you can dine at the T-REX Cafe.  Your boys will love all the dinosaurs and fun at this restaurant.   Make sure to have an Advance Dining Reservation. 

    Outside of our resort, how about a Pirate themed day?  Start with Pirate Makeovers at the Pirates League in the Magic Kingdom.  Then, make a reservation for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise where you and your crew will sail the Seven Seas Lagoon for a fun night with your pirate host "Patch" and get an amazing view of Wishes!  It will be a fun day for all.

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home.
