We're coming to WDW in a few weeks. One day will be spent at MK culminating with a celebration cruise leaving from the Polynesian to watch the fireworks. We need to be there by 8 PM. When (and by which mode of transport) should we leave MK?

    Hello Matt,

Sounds like you have one fabulous day planned with a magical fairy tale ending!

I would suggest leaving the Magic Kingdom no later than 7:25 p.m. It's about a 10 minute Monorail ride to the Polynesian. But you still have to account for the walk to the Monorail station once you exit the Park and wait time at the station. Also, you will need a few minutes to walk from where your cruise will depart once you step off the Monorail. I always like to err on the side of caution so I would probably allow 45 minutes for my travel time and then take in the sights over at the Poly!

    Enjoy Wishes!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
