We are coming to WDW in Feb 2013 & have an ADR for breakfast at Chef Mickeys at 7:30am (we are staying at AOA). Will the buses be running that early? Its a bit confusing to me as I have not been before and I want to make sure I have all bases covered.

    Hi Denise,

Your best bet is to go to the Guest Services desk at Disney's Art of Animation Resort the night before your morning reservation at Chef Mickey's.  Ask them if early morning transportation is available the next day and, if so, where you should go to board your bus.  I think there's a good possibility that complimentary transportation will be available even if the Magic Kingdom does not open until 9 am on the day of your visit.

If the Magic Kingdom does open at 8 am on the day of your visit, just board the first Magic Kingdom-bound bus leaving your home resort.  Officially, the buses start running one hour before park opening.  I would plan to be at the bus stop no later than 6:45 am.  Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, either walk or hop on the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  It is the first monorail stop after you leave the station at the Magic Kingdom.

For an early breakfast reservation like yours, however, I would recommend that you grab a taxi in front of your home resort.  Although it is not free, the cab will take you directly to the front of Disney's Contemporary Resort and will save you precious time in the morning.

Have a delicious breakfast with Mickey!
