We are coming to WDW with extended family to celebrate a milestone birthday. If we have a group reservation with other family members, can we use our Deluxe Dining plan credits for our family and have those without DDP pay for their portions?

    Hi Melissa,

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your delicious question.  Celebrating a milestone birthday is a momentous occasion indeed!

Unfortunately only Guests in your travel party who have the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan may use those credits to pay for their meals.  They are not transferrable to others.  However the good news is that you will still be able to all dine together.  At the start of your meal your server will ask if anybody is using one the Disney Dining Plans and will scan one of your MagicBands or cards which will indicate to them the details of your Disney Dining Plan.  At the end of the meal you will be presented with your check which will indicate the remaining amount of credits, suggested gratuity, and a total for any optional items that you may have ordered that are not part of the Disney Dining Plan such as alcoholic beverages.  Recently I dined with a large group of friends made up of several different travel parties.  Some of us used our Disney Dining Plan to pay for the meal, others paid cash, and still others paid cash but applied their Tables in Wonderland discount card.  The servers are great to sort the totals out and present checks to each group accordingly.

Have a magical meal Melissa!  Please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation or celebration planning questions.  We love to help!

    Blessings,
    Brenda ºOº
