We will be coming to WDW at the end of July with our 9 yr old son. He probably won't last long walking so I was wondering if he would be too big for a rental stroller? What is the maximum weight for one of the strollers? He weighs around 78lbs.

    Hi Anthony,

If you have concerns that your son will have trouble walking during your Disney trip, I have a suggestion.  Rent a double stroller for him.  They are very easy to maneuver, and the extra room will likely come in handy (and make him more comfortable).  I usually bring a towel to put down on the seats (as they are made of hard plastic).  I recently rented a double for my two sons and had no trouble pushing it myself throughout the parks.  The Disney rental strollers are quite durable and can accommodate larger, older children than most "at home" models.  I'm guessing your son could squeeze into a single (I'll admit, I've seen a few tired, petite moms riding around in them), but I do think he'd be more comfortable in a double.

    Have a great vacation!
