    Coming to WDW in early Dec. How do we get from FQ to the GF to see the g-bread house & then to Whispering Canyon for dinner? Can we use rail from the GF to the WL? Is there a time limit for busses? We have res at WC at 8pm & will need to get bac

    Hi Tawn,

    To get from Port Orleans French Quarter to the Grand Floridian, I'd take the Magic Kingdom bus from resort.  Once at the Magic Kingdom, you can transfer to either the resort monorail or the Grand Floridian/ Polynesian Resort water taxi; both will deliver you to the Grand Floridian, which is truly breathtaking over the holidays. To get to the Wilderness Lodge (another treasure at the holidays!), you want to return to the Magic Kingdom then take the water taxi to the Wilderness Lodge.  

    Once you finish dinner, you can return to the Magic Kingdom by boat or head to the resort bus stop and take whatever park bus first arrives.  Once at the new destination, you can transfer over to the Port Orleans French Quarter bus to return home.  Buses continue to run an hour after the parks close, so you shouldn't have any difficulty returning to your resort. If you'd like to simplify your return, you can certainly take a taxi from the Wilderness Lodge to Port Orleans French Quarter.  Bell Services at the resort can assist you with getting a taxi.
