We will be coming to WDW in December, and have a 2 year old grandaughter. Which resort will be closest to the MK, since she still needs daily naps and we don't want to spend all our time traveling to & from the parks.

Hello Dianna!  The resorts located closest to Magic Kingdom are the Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian.  All are located on the monorail which makes a continuous loop throughout the day.  There is also a walking path from the Contemporary to Magic Kingdom which will take about 10 minutes.

Also nearby via a leisurely boat ride is Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness but if you are truly looking for convenience, any of the resorts on the monorail would be your best bet.

I hope your vacation during the holidays is truly magical!  Diane
