Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda!
The holiday season really is the best time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon right before Christmas the year we got married and a festive vacation has been a tradition for us ever since. I love visiting the Resort Hotels to see their different interpretations of holiday decorations, and you can't miss the
gingerbread house at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's a 14-foot tall display that operates a sweet shop on the inside that sells freshly-baked gingerbread!
The theme parks will also be decorated for the season, and Main Street U.S.A. at
Magic Kingdom Park is really something out of a dream. There is an incredible Christmas tree as soon as you walk in, the lampposts all have gorgeous garland and wreaths, and there's holiday music playing everywhere you go! As for the snow, it typically only happens on Main Street U.S.A. during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, right around the time of Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. It's a truly magical sight, so if that's something you can't miss on your upcoming vacation you should consider getting tickets, which are on sale now.
If you're on the hunt for snow, you can also go to
Disney's Hollywood Studios for a
Flurry of Fun! If you visit after dark you can catch Sunset Seasons Greetings, a super-fun multimedia show featuring lots of our favorite Disney Characters and a complete transformation of the
Hollywood Tower Hotel. There was a special snowfall on Sunset Boulevard when I was there last year, so make sure to stop by so you can see for yourself!
Have a magical day, Amanda!
