We are coming to WDW in December 2020. We are scheduled to stay at the Pop Century Resort. We keep reading that the main pool there is closed for renovations. Will it be closed for another 9 months?

    Hello, Carl,

Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I'm so happy to hear you will be visiting Walt Disney World this December!  We recently stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort and already have a reservation to return later this year.  We love the theming and nostalgia of the resort. And now with the addition of the Disney Skyliner, it is such a treat to get to travel through the sky to get to Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. You are also visiting when the entire Walt Disney World resort area is filled with so much holiday cheer and decoration.  It is such a joyful time to be there!

The current renovation of the Hippy Dippy Pool at the resort should be finishing up in early spring, so it shouldn't conflict with your stay at the resort.  If something unexpected were to happen, there are two other pools at the resort for guests to enjoy.  They are themed like a bowling pin from the 1950s and a computer from the 1990s!

Wishing you a magical vacation!  Please let us know if you have any further questions.  -Kara
