    We are coming to WDW in Dec. and I was wondering if we could begin using our dining plan prior to check-in at the hotel. We have a reservation at T-Rex for 2pm and since check-in is not until 3pm will we have to pay for this meal?

    Hi Maria,

    You have a great question about the Disney Dining Plan.  You are correct, your meal and snack credits will be available to you after you check-in to your Disney Resort hotel.  While your room may not be ready until after 3:00 PM, you may check-in prior to 3:00 PM and your theme park tickets, dining credits, and charging capabilities will be activated at that time.  Therefore as long as you stop by the front desk and check-in prior to your Advanced Dining Reservations you will be able to use your Disney Dining Plan to pay for your meal.  For more information please follow the above link for a downloadable brochure outlining the details of the 2015 Disney Dining Plan.
