Hi! Coming to WDW and have the DDP. My son is severely allergic to nuts/tree nuts and is 10 so he gets desserts with the DDP as an adult. Will there be desserts he can have or can they make something special that's safe for him? Thanks for all of your help!

    Hi Rebecca!

As a fellow food allergy sufferer, I'd suggest you make sure you note his allergy on ALL your dining reservations and make sure you speak with the server when your seated.  I would also make sure that you email specialdiets@disneyworld.com with your concerns.  They've always been super helpful and very aware of cross-contamination issues, etc.

I've never had them tell me that they cannot accommodate me, and knowing that tree/nut allergies are fairly common, it is an allergen that they are familiar with and work around on a daily basis.

I'd also make sure that in addition to packing his epi-pen (as I'm sure you always do), that you  familiarize yourself with all the First Aid locations (just in case).  They are found in each park and are staffed with nurses that are absolutely fabulous!

    Have a magical vacation!
